I know it's been days since we welcomed the new year, but albeit a bit late, I would like to greet everyone 'Happy New Year!' My 2013 was filled with much joy, a sprinkle of sadness but unending gratefulness to God who's always so faithful to me and the people who made the year special. Did you know that in a village somewhere (possibly in Mexico), the people would gather inside their houses mere hours before the clock strikes midnight and at exactly 12am on January 1, they would toss out all the bad and undesirable things they had to the streets. I hope no mother or sister or brother was tossed out. In line with this tradition, I would like to drive away all my regrets and failed hopes in the past year. 2014 is my year! Let me be loud and clear, 2014 will be good to me!
As always, I made a New Year's Resolution. They don't always happen, but I don't think that's enough reason to quit on trying to be a better person. Having goals is better, it keeps you inside the better side of the line. This year, I resolve to:
1) Look not at the natural reality, but God's reality! God can do anything!
2) Minimize tardiness especially at school.
3) Eat healthier and Jog at least twice a week
4) Post on blog at least 4x a week
5) Work VERY seriously hard on Nursing majors
6) Save more, invest on piggies! Muahahar!
7) Help others more, be a channel of blessing
8) Finish reading the Bible from cover to cover
9) Read 40 books
10) Be more sociable at school
11) Take 4 trips
12) Pee more! (I have problems because I don't feel the urge often)
13) Talk less, listen more (especially to family)
14) Laugh everyday and wear Orchid (color of the year) more
What's on your list? If you're into New Year's Resolutioning, I mean... if you're not, then okay.
